Kum. Amrutha Venkatesh is one of the leading young artists in the carnatic field and she presented a brilliant RTP in Karaharapriya. The elaborate ragam for over 30 minutes was full of intricate and varied structure, never repetitive and never moving out of the raga swaroopam. The Tanam branched into a ragamalika of Thodi, Sahana and Poorvikalyani all chiselled to perfection. The pallavi set to Kanda Triputa Panchamukhi talam incorporating kanda and chaturasra nadai was spell binding. The sahityam was in Kannada on the lines of Swacha Bharat. Very scholarly presentation
